Member benefits include reduced rates for conferences, a subscription to The Ohio Reading Teacher, a refereed journal which is published twice a year, and the opportunity to network with other literacy professionals across the state.

OCIRA also sponsors both graduate and undergraduate scholarships, as well as research grants. OCIRA's committees, which number more than 20, provide the opportunity to serve, as well as to learn. Volunteer to participate on any one of them by contacting the chair as listed on COMMITTEE CHAIRS.
