The Ohio Council of the International Reading Association supports and promotes literacy to help all Ohioans reach their full potential and develop a life-long love of reading.


Congratulations to recent award winners:

starUndergraduate Scholarship Winner – Roy T. Ryser
Roy is a junior at Youngstown State University. He is enrolled in the Middle Childhood Education Program with concentrations in Language Arts and Social Studies.

starPast President’s Scholarship Winner– Marianna Arvidson
Marianna is enrolled in the Literacy Specialist Endorsement program at The University of Akron.

starClassroom Literacy Grant Winner – Mark Melnek
Mark is an Intervention Specialist for grades 9-12.
